Truck mounted vacuum cleaners usually consist of a reservoir like a tank and pump. The pump (sliding vane or liquid ring) creates negative air pressure sucks up materials. The system stores the waste in the tank until it can be disposed. To get rid of it, users usually just use gravity. Often, truck mounted vacuum cleaners also include suction hoses. Suction hoses use atmospheric pressure to assist in bringing in the material to be vacuumed. Manufacturers may fabricate them in any number of lengths, though do not usually create them to extend beyond 164 feet (50 meters).

Manufacturers design truck mounted vacuum cleaners to be mounted one of two ways. They can either be: 1) mounted directly on the truck, where they use the truck motor to power the vacuum drive, or 2) mounted on a trailer with an independent motor. Usually, they just mount the vacuum directly to the truck because it’s easier.

Truck mounted vacuum cleaners are a great investment. They allow you to industrially clean messes virtually anywhere. Also, because most tanks can be emptied via gravity, your operators will have to do very little work. Likewise, they have few moving parts, so they are easy to maintain and do not break down easily.
