About Vacuum Cleaners

An Authoritative List of the Best Vacuum Cleaner Manufacturers Available

Vacuum cleaners range from small portable vacuum cleaners to giant central vacuum systems. Vacuums are used to clean up wet/dry material, collect various type of debris and filter air. The vacuum equipment used in industrial settings tends to function at a higher level than commercially used vacuums. Vacuums use a fan or system of fans in a process to artificially lower air pressure inside of the vacuum chamber or reservoir. When the air pressure inside of the vacuum has achieved the lower air pressure compared to the outside air pressure, the vacuum is able to flood in the outside dust, dirt, fluid or whatever debris is nearby.

The overarching purpose of a vacuum is to remove materials in close proximity with a suction method. However, specific vacuums are designed to provide a specialized service in different areas of industry. Small and portable vacuums are designed to pick up particles that are typically dry, but some have the capacity to remove wet waste as well. Continuous duty vacuums are in operation for extended periods of time, sometimes up to 24 hours a day. Explosion proof vacuums are designed with special safety features to reduce the risk of fire or other harmful damage. HEPA vacuums are precisely designed for air filtration purposes, in order to remove toxic or hazardous particles from the air supply. Central vacuums are integrated into the duct work for large scale cleaning purposes. Central vacuums reduce the need for multiple portable vacuums and are typically less disruptive in a work setting. This is because vacuum is more often located in a different room, which reduces noise in the work space.

Vacuum cleaners are an expedient and more efficient way to clean a work area opposed to sweeping that does not remove debris and particles from the area permanently. Vacuums have different size motors which add to their suction capabilities. Small portable vacuums may have anywhere from 3hp to 30hp or large central vacuums may have upwards of 250hp. Additionally, vacuums need to be emptied from time to time when they fill with waste material. Other maintenance includes cleaning/changing the filter and checking for holes, kinks or other inhibitors that may keep the vacuum from working properly.

A central vacuum system is a cleaning mechanism that is built into a building for ease of use, access, and maintenance. Vacuum and pressure are created by a centrally located motor to remove dirt, dust, and debris...

Explosion-Proof Vacuums

Explosion-Proof Vacuums

Explosion-proof vacuums are vacuum systems that use compressed air, electricity, and cyclonic motion to prevent the ignition of gasses or vapors and operate at temperatures that will not ignite a possibly flammable atmosphere. Replacing motors with...

HEPA Vacuum Cleaners

HEPA Vacuum Cleaners

A HEPA vacuum cleaner is a vacuum cleaner that accepts high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters, is tightly sealed, and allows air to only pass through the HEPA filter. They are designed to capture particles of dust, dirt, and...
